Forest green bone inlay nightstand with hand-set Celtic knotwork
medallions, made in our Uttar Pradesh workshop. Each sliver of bone
is cut and placed by hand into hand-poured green resin, then sanded
flush so you can run your palm across the surface without feeling
a seam.

WHICH SIZE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
A nightstand works best when its top sits level with, or slightly
below, the top of your mattress. Measure from the floor to the top
of your mattress, then pick the closest height.
- 18"H — low platform beds, or use as a compact side table
- 24"H — standard bed frames (most common choice)
- 28"H — taller or upholstered beds, or beds with a box spring
Allow at least 24" of walking space beside the bed.

- Engineered wood core with hardwood frame

- Solid bone knobs and metal hardware
- Protective clear lacquer finish
Engineered wood is used deliberately in inlay furniture. Solid wood
expands and contracts with humidity, which cracks the inlay over
time. An engineered core stays dimensionally stable, so the pattern
stays intact for decades.

THE PIECE
Two large interlaced knotwork medallions in cream bone against deep
forest green, with slender arrow and rune-like motifs either side
and a fine braided border running the full frame. The knotwork is
a continuous, unbroken line — the kind of pattern that rewards
looking at it closely.
Deep green with cream is a quieter, more grown-up palette than most
inlay furniture. It reads rich rather than busy, which makes it
work as a single statement piece in a room that is otherwise calm.

In small workshops across Uttar Pradesh, families have worked with
bone inlay for generations — skills passed from father to son,
learned by watching rather than taught from a manual. A single
surface can take an artisan several weeks: cutting each sliver of
bone by hand, setting it grain by grain, then sanding until the
seams disappear.
Because every piece is made by hand, slight variations in the inlay
pattern, colour and natural bone grain are part of its character.
No two are identical.

- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from standing water
