Geranium Rozanne is an original cyanotype on archival watercolor paper. These delicate perennials grow in my Colorado high-alpine garden. I love when their abundant purple flowers overrun my garden in September. The deer hate them, so they don't eat them either, another plus!
Cyanotype is one of photography’s oldest printing processes, known for its distinctive cyan-blue color created through exposure to ultraviolet light. For this piece, I placed grasses from my garden directly onto the treated paper, where they blocked the UV rays and created delicate botanical silhouettes.
