This monumental 3D wall sculpture is an exploration of raw textures and geometric forms, where industrial grit meets high-end-art.
Measuring 120cm*80xm, the piece is mounted on a durable Dibond panel, forming a complex architectural focal point that commands attention.
The artwork is constructed from varying depths of lightweight, high-density foam, meticulously coated with a series of reactive metal paints. Patches of rich, oxidised copper verdigris bloom into a vibrant teal-green, contrasted by sections of textured iron that have been chemically aged to develop a genuine rust patina.
This dynamic interaction of metals and patinas highlights the "perfection of imperfection"- the beauty found in decay, randomness, and the inevitable passage of time. The geometric elements and varied planes create a sense of deep, relief-like space, designed to interact dramatically with directional lighting.
Mounted on the reverse is an invisible aluminium subframe. This frame not only serves as a secure hanging system but also creates a float, casting a soft, deep shadow that enhances the sculpture's 3D presence.
A small, engraved plate signature and studio name is discreetly attached to the back, and the artwork is accompanied by a full COA.
