I started making these wonky little rustic vases for myself, from my partner’s scrap pile, and the beauty of the wood grain and the fluid shapes have made them a hit at our in-person events, so I’m offering some here!
Note:
- these are DRY vases, not for water. great for display on their own or with feathers, dried grasses, etc.
- each one is unique! and they are carved and sanded lengthwise, (not on a lathe) which is part of what gives them a their charming off centeredness
- the existing splits and variations are embraced! these are meant to be light hearted and imperfect objects.
- the cedar is a lightweight and relatively soft. They will show small dinges and dents over time. 🌿
- they are finished with a clear beeswax/carnuba blend to help protect them naturally, while still letting them show character and history. 🌿
- these are handmade from scrap pieces of local wood 🌿
- this vase measures approx. 7.5” x 3.5”
