The second piece in the Terminus series, this painting depicts a structural walkway connecting two buildings in Atlanta's Terminus district — condensed from its actual four stories to three for compositional balance. The elevated bridge becomes a mosaic of jewel-toned windows in plum, teal, and rust, framed by a black structural band above and below, while flanking towers in muted sage and lavender recede into soft, weathered planes. The composition looks up and through the passage rather than at it head-on, giving the piece a sense of being physically inside the district rather than observing it from a distance.
This piece is Cradle Wrapped, built on a deliberately deep stretcher frame, allowing the composition to continue fully around the edges rather than stop at the front plane. The result is a painting that reads as a dimensional object rather than a flat image — color, texture, and form carrying around every side, so the piece holds its presence from any angle it's viewed.
