These ceramic wall hangings are created with good intentions! The textiles Katrina uses to handprint into the clays are handmade heirloom ones, a wedding gift. The flora is from a Red Flowering Eucalyptus Gum tree that was planted in memory of Katrina’s Riverboat Captain father and the most used tool is a handmade rolling pin crafted out of Huon pine brought back from Tasmania. The ceramic wall hangings are tactile and rustic in nature and are suitable for indoor and outdoor hanging and will bring the beauty of handmade to your living.

Each piece is individually made and size and markings may vary slightly, which is of course the beauty of a functional artwork like this. For you to love or give!

Dimensions: Approximately 53 cm (L) x 14 cm (W)

A collection of Unearthed Ceramics Kraft Wallhangings

Making Ceramics is a life-long lesson in Patience, Presence and Practice. If you can achieve all three then the ideas are endless and the pleasure in making pieces that people love, and use in their daily lives, is a humbling outcome.

I work from my home Studio in Melbourne, Victoria and my ceramics are made using traditional methods, my hands, and the timeless combination of the elements, movement and creativity.

My background in Interior Design helps inform my colour choices and design methods and I work with the clay to deliberately retains its earthy rawness and the beautiful non-toxic glazes I choose, reflect our relationship to the the natural world.

I hope that my ceramic work encourages you to centre yourself and connects you to the fundamental rituals of life that nourish your body and soul, and shares in that moment of your day to breathe and reflect.
