More sculptural than functional, my "Big Wave" mirror is a celebration of the majesty and power of the big waves in Hawaii. Big and bold, they dominate the room. Cut from locally sourced tropical hardwoods, this mirror is cut by hand, the shaped. Glass is custom cut to fit the frame, and the wood is finished with a hand rubbed indoor polyurethane. The mirror comes ready to hang.
Because each piece is hand made from solid slabs of wood there will be color, texture, and other variations in the piece I make for you. Sizes, wood color, and wood shape are determined by wood availability. Please let me know if you have any special requests with color, tone, texture, otherwise I will create a mirror for you with the wood I have available.
Time for completion is 4 to 8 weeks with an additional 1 week for shipping.
Clean the wood with a beeswax/orange oil wood cleaner. The glass is best cleaned with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
